DUCK RESCUE AT THE UNIVERSITY

5/4/08 - Special rescue Box 152-32 was sounded to Shippensburg University. Company 52 was requested by SU Police Unit 63. Brush 52 and LT Myers arrived on the scene on Adams Drive and set up a Unified Command structure with 63-7. A special request dispatched a grounds crew member to assist on the rescue assignment. Members of the rescue assignment rescue 11 of the 12 trapped ducklings. One was a class 4 patient on the scene, one was transported class 3 to the South Newton Duck Hospital. And mother hen transport her other 10 ducklings to safe staging area. No other injuries were report, yet Lt Myers had a disagreement with the mother when returning one of her children. Units returned to service within one hour.
